Aeolian Islands

Departure from Port of Tropea to Stromboli, Vulcano, consists of andesitic lavas and basaltic lavas

that ends with two peaks, whose highest peak is called Vancora, among them is a pit at 750mt from

the sea with the vents always active, so that the craters we witness the launch of lapillus and

incandescent material that falls on a wall called Sciara of Fire. 11.00 am Departure from Stromboli.

Going along Panarea, the smallest of the Aeolian Islands, famous for its prehistoric village in the

promontory of milazzese Bronze Age (XIV - XIII century. BC) consists of oval huts in plants

except for a rectangular enclosure protected by grinder with mortar in stone. We get to Lipari, the

most important commercial center of the Aeolian Islands. Generally high and rocky coast with cliffs

and caves. Interesting caves of pumice from the slopes of the red rocks, beautiful is its museum

divided into sections with exhibits from the fourth and third millennium BC, other Bronze Age

2000-1400 BC, ceramics dating back 1440-1250 BC. Visiting the village and the thousands of

alleyways, individual shops. At 15.00, departure for Vulcano, formerly called THERMES Terasia

Hiera, or Efisto island of Vulcano. The legend says that it was the home of Eolo, God of the winds.

The eastern Bay has been affected by events that Fumaroli where submarine springs (hot water) and

natural mud baths (sulfur) have excellent qualities for effective treatment for arthritis and

rheumatism for circulatory ailments.3

At 17.00 departure to Tropea during the return you can admire the impressive landscape of Capo

Vaticano with expected arrival at 19.30.

Reggio Calabria and Scilla

Departure to the picturesque town of Scilla, accessible through the fascinating scenery of "Purple

Coast". Arrival and visit of the "Chianalea", an ancient fishing village. Stopover at castle of the

Ruffo and the Church of San Rocco. Continue to Reggio Calabria, an elegant city in Italian liberty

style and Art Nouveau. Visiting the Archaeological Museum which preserves the richest collection

of Ancient Greece and the famous Bronze Statues. Walk along the seafront defined by Gabriele

D'Annunzio "the most beautiful kilometer in Italy". Visiting the Roman Baths, the Greek Wall and

the Dome.

Stromboli by night

Departure from the port of Tropea at 15.30

Arrive at Stromboli for 17.00; break until 21.00 and visit the island in which Ingrid Bergman and

Roberto Rossellini also were fascinated by its beauty, exploring its narrow winding streets. At

sunset, you can admire the "Sciara fuoco", and the fantastic and spectacular outbursts of the

volcano. Stromboli, one of the few still active volcanoes, called the "Lighthouse of the

Mediterranean". This volcano is still characterized by constant eruptions, usually with a small

amount of lava, up to a maximum height of 150 meters.

Return expected at 00:30 to 01:00.

Coast to coast with motor boat

Unforgettable experience along the coast of the Gods with a stop at the characteristic inlets and

possibility of snorkeling.
